Darlington High athletics director announces resignation
Phil Jones, athletics director for Darlington High School, has announced that he will resign his position at the end of the academic year in order to pursue other professional opportunities. Jones joined Darlington High School in 2013 and has worked to provide and advance many positive opportunities for student-athletes. He also worked to improve athletic facilities at the school. The search for a new AD will begin soon.

The Florence-Darlington Technical College Lady Stingers swept Surry Community College 8-0 and 5-3 on Saturday to win their final home games of the regular season at Old Cormell Field. Turn 3 Theater returns to Darlington Raceway
Darlington Raceway is bringing back its family-fun Turn 3 Theater. This year’s free movie will take place on Friday, May 4 in the track’s hospitality village outside of turn 3, and feature Disney/Pixars Cars 3. The Florence-Darlington Technical College Stingers won all four games (4-2, 3-1, 3-2 and 4-3) on Saturday and Sunday, sweeping Region 10 rival, Louisburg at Sparrow Stadium.
