Though cloudy weather scrapped a planned skydiving exhibition by the All Veteran Group, spirits remained sunny for the 2015 Society Hill Catfish Festival. Guests enjoyed delicious food, including barbecue, wings, and signature catfish dishes, and kids cheered as candy rained from the skies – courtesy of Catfish Festival Parade entries.
Miss South Carolina 2015 Daja Dial charmed onlookers as parade Grand Marshal, and floats featured everything from bikers to beauty queens to the monstrous denizens of the St. David’s Asylum Haunted House.
After the parade, marching bands from Darlington High and Lamar High put on a great show, battling head to head on the green in an informal throwdown. For video of this exciting show, see below after photo slideshow.
