School board honors athletes
Last week, the Darlington County School Board recognized several student athletes for their accomplishments. Three student athletes earned spots on the 2021 S.C. Basketball Coaches’ Association All-Star Teams. Sommer Joseph, Darlington High, was chosen for the SCBCA All-State Girls’ Basketball Team, class 4A. Cesare Edwards, Hartsville High, was chosen for the SCBCA All-State Boys’ Basketball Team, Class 4A A’Nyia Gates, Lamar High, was chosen for the SCBCA All-State Girls’ Basketball Team, Class A Also, Cesare Edwards was chosen to participate in the SCBCA North-South All-State basketball game.
