S.C. Firecrackers are USA/ASA Softball Hall of Fame Champions

SPORTS SC FIrecrackers Hall of Fame Champions

The SC Firecrackers 12 u team based out of Greenwood SC participated in the USA/ASA Softball Hall of Fame Qualifier tournament at the North Spartanburg Recreation Complex on May 28, 2016.

The SC Firecrackers went 7-1 on the weekend having to come through the loser bracket and beat the Carolina Crush twice to earn the championship. Madie Andrews of Darlington pitched the winning game for the SC Firecrackers, striking out 5 in 6 innings and walking 0. She also went 2-3 at the plate driving in 3, as they won the final game 9-2.

This tournament win earned them a place in the USA/ASA Softball Hall of fame Tournament in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but since this team has already earned a National Championship Birth to Salem, Virginia in August, they opted to forego the trip to Oklahoma.

This team is made up of girls from all over the state of South Carolina with a 2003 birth date. They travel throughout the Southeast, playing the very best competition they can find.
