Man held in two deaths gets released on bond
A man accused of voluntary manslaughter and murder has been released on bond after nearly 800 days in the Darlington County jail awaiting trial, according to media reports. Keith Kevin Larry was released after 787 days in jail, according to reports. He’d been jailed since 2019, charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of James Williams Jr., who died after a shooting on Larry’s Drive. He also faces a murder charge in the 2017 death of Quanzavius Ceasar on Boss Man Road. Fourth Circuit Judge Paul Burch told local media he released Larry on bond because of certain requirements ordered by another judge in Larry’s case, one requirement being that he should be granted bond if not tried by a certain date. Burch said a major backlog of cases also was a factor.
