Lincoln Memorial defeats Coker 78-57

The Coker University Cobras men’s basketball team lost 78-57 to #2/3 Lincoln Memorial in the South Atlantic Conference on Tuesday, November 24. The game was closely contested in the first half knotted at 28 until only 3 minutes remaining in the first half. Lincoln Memorial finished the first half with an 8-2 run to take a 36-30 lead at halftime. In the second half, Lincoln increased the lead to double digits for some time before the Cobras cut the lead to 9 points on a 3-point basket from Seth Bennett. However, Lincoln Memorial took control of the game from that point and would always lead by double digits throughout the remainder of the game. Chandler Lindsey led Coker with a game-high 20 points. Anderson Keller added 10 points. Five other Coker players would also score. Chandler Lindsey had 8 boards to lead while 10 others aided the cause. Courtney Murrell, Jr. had 3 assists with 6 other players also having assists. Murrell also had 2 steals in the game and 4 others had a steal. Malcolm Kennedy, Dakota Jennings, and Courtney Murrell, Jr. each blocked shots in the game.
