Help send local youth to 4-H camp

We are writing to request assistance in sending as many youth to 4-H camp as we can and we can do this with help from generous people of Darlington County. The cost for camp is $250.00 per child and we are requesting and encouraging your financial support to sponsor as many youth as you can. We will also announce your sponsorship in the News and Press as a way of saying thanks.

4-H is the youth development program of the Cooperative Extension System: Clemson University, local governments and the US Department of Agriculture, 4-H organizes and trains young people, members of the community, parents and other adult volunteers to lead dynamic learning experiences in 4-H clubs and on non-formal settings.

4-H has a wide variety of interests: Agriculture, Natural Resources, Technology, Leadership, Health Lifestyles, Food and Nutrition. 4-H teaches young people to become self-directing, productive members, of society. A major ingredient that ties all aspects of the 4-H program together is people like you.

Your donation is 501 C (3) tax deductible, and will be an investment in our young people for a stronger South Carolina and a brighter future for Darlington County. Please make checks payable to Clemson Extension Service 4-H program and mail to 300 Russell St; Room 222 Darlington SC 29532.

Thank you for your continued support of Clemson University Extension programs. If you have any questions or need to contact me, please do not hesitate to call me at 843-992-9620.

Sincerely,
Alma L. Harris, M.A.
County Extension Agent
