Lady Wild Gators defeat Lady Silver Foxes
The Lake View Lady Wild Gators defeated the visiting Lamar Lady Silver Foxes 48-37 in varsity basketball action in Lake View on Friday, February 12. The first quarter started out as a fast-paced game with both teams scoring points. By the end of the first quarter the Wild gators were up 13-7. The second quarter was played with both teams pushing offense and suffering multiple turnovers. At half time, Lake View was up 24-18. During the third quarter, Lamar made some defensive adjustments but Lake View continued to score into the final quarter ending the game with the Wild Gators victorious 48-37. Lamar’s A’niya Gates had a team-high 12 points. Quashia Stephens added 11 points to the scoreboard. Myasia Stephens and Heidi Anderson each scored 5 points. Ja’Shyia Ham Scored 2 points while Aiana Hodges and LaKayla Peoples each sank a free throw. Lake View’s Ja’Niyah Waters had a game-high 14 points followed by Gwendasia Page with 12 points and Jaleya Ford with 10 points.
