King’s Academy claims victory in sporting clays tournament

The King’s Academy Varsity Sporting Clays Team earned the SCISA State Championship at the Palmetto Shooting Complex in conjunction with the National Wildlife Turkey Federation. The competition took place in Edgefield, SC on Saturday, March 4th.

The team of Daylon Mahn (10th), Carter Parrott (11th) and Hughes Milling (9th) earned the SCISA State Championship with a combined score of 239 clays. The TKA team out-shot 42 other SCISA teams to claim the title.

In addition to the SCISA State Title Mahn, Parrott and Milling earned a high enough team score to place second in the SCDNR Youth Sporting Clays Open, which included 79 teams, roughly 590 shooters.
