The Darlington High School JV baseball season ended Thursday night with a region win against Lakewood 7 to 4.

Keshawn Taylor pitched five innings, and both Jake Jones and Luke Flowers added an inning each to keep a tight hold of a pesky Gators team. First baseman Quay Gandy homered over the left field wall in the first for a three run homerun, and Jake Jones got his first of the season in the fifth with a towering shot down the line in left.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished.” head coach Doc Lewis said, “We have tried to set up the varsity team for the future, and I think we have.”

Darlington finishes the season as Region 6 Champions and heads into next season with plenty of momentum.
