Lamar High School celebrated the athletic and academic advancement of another standout Silver Fox as Jadarius Munford signed a letter of intent on Tuesday, November 1, to play baseball for the Florence-Darlington Technical College Stingers.

“I chose Tech for a number of reasons,” said Jadarius, who plans to study business while honing his skills on the diamond. “I’m going to be focusing more on playing the field and hitting the ball.”

“I’m very proud,” said the signee’s mother, Ayeshia Munford. “Hopefully he can keep focusing, work hard and play hard. That’s the key.”

In his three seasons starting for the LHS Silver Foxes, Jadarius built a .383 batting average, collected 43 RBIs, 13 doubles, 3 homers, and 37 stolen bases. The fleet-footed fielder plays smart as well, committing no defensive errors in his 2015-16 junior season, where the Silver Foxes went 22-7 overall, 7-1 in region play, and made it to the Class A playoffs.
