Hundreds attend McLeod Hospice tree-lighting ceremony

McLeod Hospice celebrated the 36th Annual “A Light for Someone You Love” Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 2. Hundreds of community members and McLeod staff attended the event which raised a record-breaking amount of more than $106,000 to directly fund items for McLeod Hospice patients in the 11 counties they serve, at the McLeod Hospice House, helping patients remain comfortable in their homes, providing bereavement care for families being served, and offering a grief camp for children, Camp Jessie’s Kids. During the ceremony, the family of Allene Griffin lit the trees and Cole Davis performed. McLeod Hospice serves patients in Florence, Darlington, Dillon, Chesterfield, Marlboro, Horry, Lee, Sumter, Marion, Clarendon and Williamsburg counties.
