Falcons Cross Country Update:

The Darlington High School Cross Country team competed in the Pee Dee Classic on Saturday, September 26 at Freedom Florence. The team is led by Coach Rich Wideman.
Tyler Berry shattered the 7th grade 5k record of 21:31 set by Andrew Westbrook in 2009 running the 5k course in 20:52.

Zack White, Xavier ZaySkillz Murray, and Jordan Bishop all ran season best times to pace the boys team.

Emily Ann Johnson ran a season best to pace the girls team, with Maliyah Laquasia Taylor running an amazing PR finishing right behind Alexis Gainey.
According to reports, many of the JV boys and girls achieved PR’s.

The Cross Country team will compete in the Wilson Invitational on Saturday, October 3, followed by a home meet on Tuesday, October 6.

The community is invited to attend the Darlington Cross Country Carnival on Saturday, October 10, details in the next issue of the News and Press.
