DHS and MHS student athlete college signings

DHS Signing Anthony Fullard

Anthony Fullard signed a letter of intent to wrestle for Allen University in Columbia. This season, Fullard was team captain, with a record of 28-6, and he won the region title at 182-lb weight class, advancing him to Lower State where he qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament. Fullard finishes his DHS career with more than 100 wins, All-Region honors, and the 2015 DHS Most Valuable Wrestler. He graduates with a 3.0 GPA.

DHS Signing Heidi McNeil

Heidi McNeil signed on to run track with Spartanburg Methodist College. McNeil plans to attain multiple degrees and certifications with several careers in mind, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and sports medicine. Her athletic honors & achievements include:

• 9th at All-State in Cross-Country her junior year
• Track – 3rd in the state this year
• All Region in track all six years on the team
• 3 time Region Runner of the Year, Cross –Country
• Holds high school records in 800 m (2:22.09), 1600 m (5:30), 3200 m (12:48) and 5K (19.31)

DHS Signing Karissa Lunn

Karissa Lunn will continue her track career and studies at Coastal Carolina University. Lunn says she committed to Coastal because of their track and academics programs, and she plans to study physical therapy. Her academic and athletic achievements include:

• DHS Triple Crown Winner
• All A’s
• 100 m dash – 3rd place in state
• 4×100 – state champions
• 4×100 school record/state championship

• 100 m – 12.14
• Long jump – 15.9
• High jump – 4.10

DHS Signing Brandon Boggs

Brandon Boggs of Mayo High School for Math, Science & Technology runs track for Darlington High School. He signed with Francis Marion University where he plans to major in astronomy and minor in biology. His career goals include working with animals and eventually joining NASA. His academic and athletic achievements include:

• Perfect attendance – all 12 years
• Beta Club
• Member of the National Honor Society
• All-state cross-country
• All-region cross-country twice
• All-region track
• Sophomore region championship

• 1600 –4:44.70
• 3200 – 10:47.50

DHS Signing Angel Gale

Angel Gale committed to run track for Coker College. Gale says she chose Coker because when she visited the Hartsville school, she immediately felt at home. She hasn’t decided on an academic major, but feels confident Coker will provide great study and career options. Her academic and athletic achievements include:

• Perfect attendance
• A-B honor roll
• Triple Crown winner
• All-Region track 4 years in a row
• State placer in 400 as a junior (5th)
• 6th place in state in 200 as a senior
• 2 time state runner-up in 4×100
• 2015 state champions in 4×100

Personal Performance Records:

• 400 m dash school record (59.18)
• 4×100 school record
• 100 m dash 12.65
• 200 m dash 26.03

DHS Signing Gabrielle Gosnell

Gabrielle Gosnell signed on with Francis Marion University, where she will run track and build an academic base for a career in either marine biology or international marketing. Gosnell’s academic and athletic achievements include:

• DHS Triple Crown Winner
• AA-B honor roll
• All-region in cross country as a junior and as a senior
