Darlington wins shootout against Gators

Sumter –The Darlington Falcons playoff hopes got a nice shot in the arm this past Friday against the Lakewood Gators.
Going on the road in and playing in a must win situation, the Falcons made the most of their bye week and scored an all-important 38-35 victory over the Gators, giving Darlington its first region win of the year.
The win improves Darlington’s record to 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the region. With this win the Falcons have now improved their win total from last season and there is still two games to play where it can improve even more.
Darlington returns back home this Friday to take on the Lugoff-Elgin Demons, who currently sit in second place in the region.
