On a breezy and sunny Saturday morning, civic-minded citizens gathered on the Public Square to Clean Up Darlington. Volunteers joined members of the Darlington Garden Club to plant bright pansies in decorative pots lining downtown streets. Mayor Gloria Hines swept walkways while Darlington High School students replenished pinestraw beds, and Darlington City Council member Bryant Gardner took up a roller and freshened lines in a public parking lot.
