It was a rough night for the Darlington Lady Falcons this past Tuesday, January 19 against the Crestwood Lady Knights. Honestly, it might be a night that head coach Frances Fields and company hope never happens again.
Pate Elementary students enjoy “sport stacking”
Sport stacking is an exciting sport where students stack and unstack 12 specifically designed cups in predetermined sequences. Sport stacking promotes hand-eye coordination, ambidexterity, quickness, and concentration. Coach Joseph Gainey’s P.E. classes at Pate Elementary School just finished their unit on sport stacking. The children loved it!

“They fought hard,” Fields said after the game. “I thought they did well, honestly, they pushed it when they needed to. It’s like I was saying last game, it’s a point of finishing and that’s what we have to get to next.”

“They hustled, I felt like they put it out there,” Darlington girls head coach Frances Fields said on her team’s effort. “Now the lesson is learning how to keep control, keep fighting.”
Minus Frankie, Darlington still cruises past Manning
Darlington squared off against the Manning Monarchs on Tuesday, January 12 in front of home crowd who had not seen their Falcons play at home since December 15 when the Falcons took on the Lamar Silver Foxes and delivered with an impressive 69-53 victory.
