Pizza lovers and bargain hunters rejoice! In the very near future, Darlington diners will have a new option for lunch and dinner, as Little Caesars Pizza aims to open a franchise in town this summer.
Ed Ader, director of franchise development for Little Caesars, tells the News and Press that the decision to set up shop in Darlington is part of the company’s overall growth initiative, resulting from high sales and steady market expansion over the past decade. Much of that growth has taken place in working class communities where money – and time – are precious.
School board votes to merge Lamar and Spaulding elementary schools
The Darlington County School Board met on April 13 and unanimously voted to close one school in Lamar, saving the district between $50,000 – $100,000 per year.
