DHS Class of 1996 presents scholarship
Darlington High School Class of 1996 presented a $500 scholarship to the 2016 DHS graduate Christina J. Roundtree to kick off their 20 Year Class Reunion during the DHS Senior Awards Night. Kea Hallman stated, “We are so excited about Christina’s future plans and would like to wish her well on her journey as she transitions from high school to college.”

Palmer S. Jones, a student at Hampden-Sydney College, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. To earn this distinction, students must achieve at least a 3.3 semester grade point average out of a possible 4.0. Palmer is the son of Wendell and Margaret Jones of Darlington, SC. S.C. Ag + Art Tour: Kalmia Gardens of Coker College
Kalmia Gardens of Coker College was the site for the Wednesday Watercolor Group that meets at Black Creek Arts Council each week to paint together. There are nine members in all, and four of the women gathered to paint plein aire during the Ag + Art Tour, Sue Brand, Gay Morrison, Frankie Bush and Judy Jacobs.
