The Darlington County Animal Shelter was struck with tragedy July 12th when the old facility was struck by lightning; in addition to significant damage to the facilities, two precious dogs – Cora and Amelia – died from being electrocuted by the lightning. The photo from last week was taken of one of a log tobacco barn from the early 1900’s on the edge of the Dovesville Highway, about a half a mile off of Highway 15.
