Teacher Cadet students at Darlington High School got a taste of what teaching will be like Friday, April 8 when Teaching Fellows from USC visited the school. The fellows brought with them a traveling Anne Frank exhibit, which has been displayed across the state.
Darlington Police Department raising money for a cure
The Darlington Police Department is working to help find a cure for cancer. Through several different ventures, the department is working toward their goal of $2,000 for the Darlington County Relay for Life event happening May 5.
Evening Under the Oaks returns for second year
Planning is well underway for the second annual Evening Under the Oaks Humane Society Benefit. The benefit is supported by a variety of area businesses. The idea for Evening Under the Oaks was born from a group of ladies last year, who are all animal lovers. Durant Children’s Center, a program of Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault, will host the Annual “Bunny Hop” from 3 – 5 p.m. on Friday, April 14th at the Durant Children’s Center, 510 W.
