The Hartsville Boys and Girls Club is hosting their second annual Night of Hope, August 26 at Lawton Park. Sheriff’s Office awarded body-worn camera grant
The Darlington County Sheriff’s office has been awarded $112,011.27 for the purchase and data storage of body-worn cameras through the Body-Worn Cameras Fund, which was appropriated by the General Assembly. Sen. Gerald Malloy of Darlington, was the chief sponsor of S.47, the Body Camera Bill, which was passed in 2015. The Hartsville Young Professionals (HYP) organization hosted an Ales and Tails donation drive event for the Darlington County Humane Society on August 10 at Vintage Craft Beer and Wine Boutique.
