Friday, October 28 marked the return of the “Yam Jam” music concert held in Darlington from 6 to 9 pm at Palmetto Office Furniture. Shaggers danced to the rock and roll and beach music sounds of Jim Quick & the Coastline Band, and enjoyed food and beverages on site for purchase, with an admission charge of just $10.

Beautiful weather greeted the South Carolina Sweet Potato Festival, held Saturday, October 29 in downtown Darlington. Thousands enjoyed live entertainment, shopping, rides and inflatables for the kids, and delicious food for all – including perennial favorites like funnel cakes (cooked up by festival organizers from the Darlington Pilot Club) and sweet potato chips and fries.
