Wofford students travel abroad participating in independent study
Several Wofford students are participating in independent study interims while traveling abroad during January.
- Warren Matthews, a member of the class of 2018, from Darlington, is completing an independent study Interim in Senegal.
- Linxi Xu, a member of the class of 2018, from Darlington, is completing an independent study Interim in China.
An independent study Interim is one in which a student pursues research of either a traditional academic type or of a more experiential type and, at the end of the interim, produces a capstone project that communicates what they have learned.Wofford College, established in 1854, is a four-year, residential liberal arts college located in Spartanburg. It offers 26 major fields of study to a student body of 1,690 undergraduates.
