Where is this in Darlington County? January 14, 2015
Last week’s photo was of the water tower at Darlington Veneer located at 225 4th Street in Darlington. Although printed in black and white, many sharp readers knew it immediately, first of which was John Ramsey, which was no surprise! Also correct were Bill Segars, and Jim Stone.
Jim Stone also had a neat thing to share about the beautiful home of Shaw Dargan that was featured in the Dec. 31st issue; before his mother married his Daddy, she rented a room from the previous owner, Mrs. Flowers, and it was the pretty round room with the turret on the second floor!
Francis Parnell knew that that the photo in a few weeks ago was the Park Terrace Hotel, my apologies Francis “Light-Man” Parnell!
