Funeral services for Mrs. Eloise Dunham Coe of Darlington were conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Center Baptist Church in Darlington.
Interment followed in Hart Cemetery # 2 directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc.
Mrs. Coe died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.
The family received friends at the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Francena and James Holmes, 1629 South Center Road, Darlington.
A Celebration of Life for Tech Sergeant Daniel Harvey Bailey, Jr., 33, of Lugoff, S.C., was held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Florence, S.C. The family received friends following the service at The Smith’s home, 1816 Malden Drive, Florence, S.C. A private inurnment, directed by Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home, was held in Florence National Cemetery prior to the service.
Daniel died Sunday, November 1, 2015. Born in Key West, Florida, he was the son of Daniel Harvey Bailey, Sr. and the late Pamela Dee Bass. Daniel was a graduate of Francis Marion University, and served in the United States Army National Guard and the United States Air National Guard. He served his country in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Kosovo Force 5A in March 2004, and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan from June 2012 until September 2012.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Meredith Smith Bailey; two daughters, Adalynn Emma Bailey and Harper Kate Bailey. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Ralph Harvey Bailey and Mary Sims Bailey.

Deanne Bradshaw Bennett, age 31, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015. Funeral service was held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5th at Lamar First Baptist Church, with a visitation held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born August 30, 1984, Deanne was the daughter of Marion and Cindy Ray Bradshaw. She worked as a U.S. Postal Carrier, and was a member of Lamar First Baptist Church. Deanne had many passions; she loved singing, was an incredible mother and daughter, and always thought of others before herself.
Surviving in addition to her parents of Lamar are her two daughters, Anna Marie Bennett, and Ember Rayne Bennett; her sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Lance Iseman of Lamar; her grandmother, Louise Bradshaw of Lamar; her niece, Amanda Iseman, and her nephew, Jason Iseman; and her former husband and friend, Bill Bennett.

Jack Leslie Carter, Sr., 86, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015. A visitation was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2015, followed by a funeral service in the chapel of Belk Funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Burial took place in Westview Cemetery.
Jack was born in Darlington, son of the late Tom and Louise Pearce. He owned a small used car dealership, and spent a lot of time traveling to buy cars. He enjoyed his work and was a very good provider. Mr. Carter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was always there to meet a need. He loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. Jack was known by his friends as “Snake Carter.” He will be missed, but we know he is in Heaven waiting on us. He was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church, which was started in a small building on his parents’ property.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Jean Henderson Carter; his sons: Jack Les Carter, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Santee, and Andy Carter and his wife Agnes of Darlington; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and two special nieces, Dot Byrd and Fran Kelly of Hartsville.

Wanda Powell McEntire, age 54, wife of Dr. Bill McEntire, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4th at Black Creek Baptist Church, followed by burial at Black Creek Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born July 5, 1961 in South Boston, VA, Wanda was the daughter of Phyllis Hughes Powell and the late John Robert “Bobby” Powell, Sr. She worked as office manager in the human resource department of CCS of Florence. Wanda enjoyed reading, and singing in the church choir. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church, and lived out her faith every day.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Dr. Bill McEntire of Darlington; her brother, John Robert “J.R.” (Mickie) Powell of Haymarket, VA; her nieces and nephews, John Robert “Rob” (Alyssa) Powell III of Holly Springs, N.C., Amanda Nicole Powell of Cullowhee, N.C., Jackie Ray Hoyle of Spindale, N.C., and other nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Sara McEntire Griffin; her brother-in-law, Jeffery D. (Brenda) McEntire of Rutherford, N.C.; and her sister-in-law, Judy McEntire Hoyle of Spindale, N.C.
Preceded in death in addition to her father is her father-in-law, Kenneth Wray McEntire.
The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3rd at Belk Funeral Home.

Louise Byrd Maloch, age 94, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, followed by burial at Darlington Memory Gardens.
Born in Darlington County, Louise was the daughter of the late James Curtis Byrd, Sr., and the late Annie Tuttle Byrd. She enjoyed cross knitting, ceramics, cooking, and she loved her grandchildren. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Jean Taylor of Society Hill, Mary Ann (Buck) Godfrey of Florence, Brenda (Roger) Baird of Darlington, and Karen (James) Kinsaul of Rincon, GA; her sister-in-law, Mary Lee Byrd of Darlington; 15 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, are her husband, George Lee Maloch; her sons, Brady Lee Maloch, and George M. “Mack” Maloch; her brothers, Curtis Byrd, Walter Byrd, Wesley Byrd, and Harry Byrd; and her sister, Edna Mae Rogers.

Robert Chandler Sanders, Sr, age 87, husband of Dorothy Hicks Sanders of Darlington, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. Funeral service was held 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 9th at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, followed by burial at Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born in Florence, Robert was the son of the late Franklin H. Sanders, and Katie Chandler Sanders. He retired from the Army National Guard, and from James Rivers. He enjoyed his church, his family, and his dog Charlie. He attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty years, Dorothy Hicks Sanders, are his children, Donna (Bobby) Miller, and Robert (Robin) Sanders, both of Darlington; his grandchildren, Kristen Miller, and Laura (Eric) Pierre; his grandson, Steven Wesley Miller, and his great-grandchildren, Brody Kennedy, Kelsee Pierre, and Alyssa Pierre.
Preceded in death are his sister, Elizabeth Beasley; and his brothers, Frank Sanders, and Herbert Sanders.

Robert “Bobby” C. Jeffords, Jr, age 72, husband of Emily Parnell Jeffords, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. A memorial service was held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home.
Born July 28, 1943, Bobby was the son of the late Robert C. Jeffords, Sr., and Ruby Carter Jeffords. He served in the U.S. Navy and the National Guard, and then worked at Pete Stevens Mobile Home Movers. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Emily Parnell Jeffords, are his children, Randy L. (Stephanie Smith) Jeffords of Florence, and Cathy Jeffords of Hartsville; his grandchildren, Kayla Jeffords, Adrianna Jeffords, and Austin Jeffords; and his step-grandchildren, Makayla Smith, Brianna Smith, Dylan Smith, and Gracie Smith.
Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Jeffords.
