Wedding: Sheetz – Blackmon
Kayse Brooke Sheetz and James Jason Blackmon, both of Georgetown, S.C., were united in marriage on June 20, 2015, at Canaan Baptist Church in Cope, S.C.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Kennerly (Pam) Sheetz of Cope and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. (Peggy) Proctor of Cope and the late Lt. Col. and Mrs. George Fredrick (Elizabeth) Sheetz of Orangeburg, S.C.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kim (Janet) Blackmon of Georgetown and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James (Betty Jean) Blackmon of Darlington, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clemmons (Lula) Michau, of Georgetown.
Reverend Paul Hill officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Whitney Westbury Sheetz of North, S.C., sister-in-law of the bride.
Maid of honor was Stephanie Marie Murray of Georgetown, friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were LeAnna Miriam Proctor of Cope, cousin of the bride; and friends of the bride, Carrie Ann Byrge of Georgetown; Katherine Renee Kea of Cayce, S.C.; Lauren Michelle Smith of Cayce; and Shelly Cattlet Watts of Cope.
Junior bridesmaids were Karlyn Danielle Cloer of Myrtle Beach, S.C., friend of the bride; and Ashley Elizabeth Sheetz of Lexington, S.C., cousin of the bride.
The bridegroom’s father served as the best man.
Groomsmen were Chandler Kennerly Sheetz of North, brother of the bride; Dillon Malachi Sheetz of Cope, brother of the bride; and friends of the groom, Travis Drew Foxworth of Georgetown; Kelly Bryan Gray of Florence, S.C.; Duffin Carlisle Mitchum, III of Georgetown; and Devin McClary Taylor of Georgetown.
Junior groomsmen were Matthew Lesley Edgemon of Neeses, S.C., friend of the bride; and Tyler Scott Connelly of Lexington, cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Kinley Elizabeth Sheetz of North, niece of the bride.
Ring bearer was Easton Dukes Antley of Lexington, cousin of the bride.
Music for the ceremony was provided by soloist Ms. Melissa Ott and pianist Mrs. Misty Salley.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Elk’s Lodge of Orangeburg.
After a wedding trip to Disney World, the couple will reside in Georgetown.
Mrs. Blackmon is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is employed by Tideland’s Health Georgetown Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.
Mr. Blackmon is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Horry-Georgetown Technical College with Associates in Forestry and Wildlife Management. He is employed by Claybourn Walters Logging Company, Inc. as a Procurement Forester.
