The Trinity-Byrnes Middle School Math Team, sponsored by Mrs. Teri Geddings, traveled to Sumter on Tuesday, January 19, to compete against 32 other middle school teams in the SCISA Middle School Math Meet.
The seventh grade team included Eleanor Farrell, Gene Zeigler, Kat Glassman, William Duvall, Lauren Olsen, and Jack Banner, who was the high points scorer for the 7th grade team.
The 8th grade team consisted of Eliza Gregg Saleeby, Haley Davis, Ruth Player, Grace Cleveland, and Jackson Lowe. In addition to being the high points scorer for the Byrnes team, Ruth Player tied for 4th high point scorer overall. Jackson Lowe was the 9th high point scorer overall.
The 8th grade team came in 4th out of the 32 competing teams.
