Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center partnered with former University of South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw to donate two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and the Hartsville Police Department on June 18, 2026. Shaw founded HRTHUDL, a non-profit dedicated to expanding CPR training and AED access on athletic fields statewide, after surviving sudden cardiac arrest last year — an experience he credits to quick-acting first responders and AED use.
