Sheriff Michael August hands Deputy Grace King her new badge after swearing her in as a Class 3 Advance Deputy with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office on August 6, 2026. Deputy King will continue to serve as the office’s Accreditation Manager in addition to her new deputy duties. Sheriff August and the department welcomed King, saying they are honored to have her serve the people of Darlington County.
