Spotlight comes to Hartsville! CPRMC selected for ‘All Access with Andy Garcia’

A small town with a big story to tell is getting its moment in the national spotlight!
Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) has been selected to be featured in All Access with Andy Garcia, a nationally distributed educational television series hosted by Academy Award-nominated actor, Andy Garcia. The production team arrived in Hartsville on Thursday, November 5, to capture footage for an upcoming documentary showcasing the impact of rural healthcare across America.
The feature is part of a larger series titled “Small Towns, Big Care: America’s Rural Hospital Impact”, which explores how rural hospitals are delivering advanced medical care, embracing innovation and making a meaningful impact in the communities they serve.
For Carolina Pines, the selection is an opportunity to showcase the exceptional level of healthcare available right here in Hartsville. With nationally recognized quality, advanced medical technology and a strong network of specialized expertise, Carolina Pines represents the clinical excellence and innovation shaping the future of rural healthcare.
“We’re incredibly proud to represent our community in this national documentary,” said Brian Sponseller, MD, Chief Executive Officer of CPRMC. “We believe the people of Hartsville and the surrounding communities deserve access to exceptional healthcare without having to travel far from home. That belief drives our commitment to clinical excellence, innovation and the expertise we bring to our patients every day. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to showcase that work and, more importantly, the people who make it possible.”
During the visit, the All Access production team captured footage throughout the hospital and Carolina Pines Medical Group practices, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the people, expertise and innovation that define the Carolina Pines experience.
While the documentary will shine a national spotlight on Carolina Pines, it will also share a much broader message: exceptional healthcare is not defined by the size or location of a hospital, but by the quality of care it provides and the commitment of the people behind it.
For a hospital rooted in the heart of Hartsville, the opportunity to share that message with viewers across the country is a proud moment, not only for Carolina Pines, but for the community it serves.
The completed feature is planned for distribution to Public Television stations nationwide. Additional information regarding broadcast dates and viewing opportunities will be shared as it becomes available.
