Special Victims Unit makes domestic violence arrest
On April 6, Darlington County Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit Investigators arrested Glenn Dale Conyers, Jr., age 40, of Lamar. Conyers is charged with domestic violence, first degree, which is a felony punishable, upon conviction, of up to 10 years imprisonment and burglary, first degree, which is a felony punishable, upon conviction, of up to life imprisonment.
Investigators allege that on April 2 Conyers forcibly entered the home of a former spouse in the Hartsville area. While inside the home, Conyers, armed with a metal pipe, allegedly threatened to kill his former spouse and others.
Conyers is currently being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center awaiting arraignment.
