South Carolina African American Heritage Commission seeks members
The South Carolina African American Heritage Commission is seeking applicants to become members of the SCAAHC. The South Carolina African American Heritage Commission was created by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1993 for the preservation of African American history, culture, buildings and lifeways in South Carolina. Members represent the state by South Carolina’s six Congressional Districts and are appointed by the South Carolina Archives and History Commission. Currently the Commission has vacancies in District 2, District 3, District 4 and District 5.
