Society Hill seniors gather each week for fellowship, spirited games of Bingo, and fun group crafting projects at the Darlington County Community Action Agency’s Society Hill Community Center. Recently, this senior group has taken on several knitting and quilting projects, with the finished products – like throws, blankets, and hats – donated to local nursing homes. Site manager Sandra Frazier says everyone is welcome to join in these activities, and she notes that many seniors reap wonderful benefits from socializing, crafting, and playing games in good company. Frazier adds that since funds are limited at the center, donations of sewing, knitting, and crafting materials are needed. To learn more about participating or donating, contact Frazier at: 843-378-4571.
