Re-Tail Therapy Resale Shop
Lovers of pets (and great deals!) rejoice, there’s a new store in the county!

The yard sales are gradually being phased out with plans to sell donations year-round, to raise funds for DCHS Rescue, operations of the shelter, and the Bridge facility (the boarding facility for rescue animals).
The Re-Tail Therapy Store will accept donations of antiques, house wares, jewelry, furniture, art, prints, linens, nice clothing, garden items, and children’s things. The store will not accept appliances (although washers and dryers in good condition may be taken directly to the animal shelter!), bicycles, tires, or large furniture. Everything else donated should be clean, ironed, fixed/painted, and in very good condition.
Volunteers are needed to work in the store: 1st Shift: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and 2nd Shift: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Store hours will be: Monday – Friday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Re-Tail Therapy is located at: 149 W. Carolina Avenue in Hartsville. The booth at Fleur de Lis is still open on Hwy 151.

DCHS Yard Sale for pet rescue/medical support program

Mark your calendar for the biggest yard sale in the county as the Darlington County Humane Society hosts their Yard Sale to raise funds for the pet rescue/medical support program Thursday and Friday May 5, 6 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday May 7 from 7 a.m. to 12 noon.

Funds from the yard sale are critical in the efforts to provide medicine, heartworm tests, vaccines, vet care for the sick and injured, feline leukemia and FIV tests and worming medicines for animals at the Darlington County Animal Shelter. The fund also helps pay expenses involved in transporting rescued dogs and cats on their way to “forever homes.”

Volunteers are urgently needed beginning Monday, April 25 at the American Legion Building to begin receiving, organizing, setting up and pricing items.

To volunteer to help set up prior to the event or to donate, please by contact Carolyn Powers at 843-393-4711, or 843-307-2657 or Omie McClary at 843-307-3163.
