Sheriff’s Deputies Graduate Academy
Darlington County Sheriff’s Deputies Matthew Mueller and Ryan Grice graduated the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy on April 13.
Deputy Mueller was sworn-in by Sheriff Tony Chavis on August 22. He is a native of New York and previously served seven years in the United States Marine Corps.
Deputy Grice was sworn-in by Sheriff Chavis on December 11. He is a native of North Carolina and previously served 10 months as an officer with the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.
Both Deputies are assigned to the Patrol Division under the command of Lt. Michael Hall.
