SC Manufacturers Alliance invests in Scholarships for the Future Program

The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) released the following statement from its President and CEO, Sara Hazzard, regarding the announcement from Governor Henry McMaster that additional funds will be invested in the Workforce Scholarships for the Future program.
“Investing in scholarships that South Carolina citizens can use for training and upskilling for careers in high-demand professions ensures our workforce pipeline and economic potential remains strong. The Workforce Scholarships for the Future program has proven results in providing many individuals throughout the state opportunities to earn certifications and training in manufacturing, health services, logistics, and other critical fields. We applaud Governor McMaster and members of the General Assembly for supporting this important initiative, and we look forward to its continued success.”
The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance is the only statewide organization dedicated exclusively to the interests of manufacturers. Its mission is to strengthen and advance South Carolina manufacturing by advocating for our members, fostering a world-class workforce, and bringing together manufacturers to connect, share, and solve industry challenges. The SCMA membership is comprised of more than 200 manufacturing companies that represent more than 100,000 associates in South Carolina.
