Woodring graduates from Wofford University
Sarah Kathleen Woodring, daughter of Steve and Lynn Woodring, graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC on Thursday, May 7 with a Masters of Education in Clinical Counseling.
She spent her internship working with a wide range of clients through Novant Health in Charlotte, N.C.
Woodring was recently hired by Turning Point Family Services in Charlotte, N.C. where she will work with children and adolescents.
Local student on SWU dean’s list
Southern Wesleyan University announced its spring 2015 dean’s list students.
The following students earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher on all work attempted (12 hours or more) during the spring 2015 semester, with no grade for any single course below 3.0.

Christian Gainey makes President’s List at USC Sumter
Christian Gainey, a resident of Hartsville, SC was among more than 30 students who made the President’s List in the Spring 2015 semester.
To reach this academic achievement, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.95-4.00 earned on a minimum of 12 credited semester hours at the end of the previous semester.
USC Sumter is located in the heart of the state, about 45 miles east of Columbia.
