On Friday, April 22, 2016 the Pilot Club of Darlington presented to the Darlington County Institute of Technology (DCIT) a South Carolina flag along with the certificate of authenticity that the flag had once flown over the Statehouse.

Denny Neilson, Pilot Education Chairman along with her committee members: Lt. Kim Nelson, Oleene Gettys and Carolyn Black made the presentation.

Denny Neilson and Peggy Ruthven, Pilot Patriotism Chairman, are very instrumental in making sure that both the flag of the United States of America and the flag of South Carolina fly on our school grounds and other appropriate places in our community.
