Pilot Club of Darlington delivers ‘Pick Me Ups’ to local first responders

Keeping with the motto of the Pilot Club of Darlington to Do More. Care More. Be More. the club recently prepared and delivered sixty three Pick Me Up bags to the Darlington Police Department and the Darlington Fire Department. This was done during the time of Pilot International’s Care and Kindness Week, where Pilots around the world participate in various activities to show their care and kindness to others.

The Darlington Pilots chose to show appreciation for the police and firefighters who care for others in Darlington on a daily basis, often putting their lives at risk.

At the November Pilot Club meeting where fourteen of the eighteen new members were initiated into the club, Pilots worked side by side to pack the bags with treats for these dedicated community servants. Some of the Pilots were able to deliver these Pick Me Up bags to the police and firefighters the following day.
