Pee Dee Elec. Co-Op gives funds for playground

Pee Dee Electric Cooperative presents Darlington Mayor Curtis Boyd and Darlington County Parks, Recreation and Tourism with a check for $41,162 to help fund a new playground at Bowen Manor. The 1 percent loan allowed the city to take advantage of equipment that was seriously discounted. The playground on Old Florence Highway will be complete in March. PHOTO BY BOBBY BRYANT
