Gregory Scott Reynolds

DARLINGTON — Gregory Scott Reynolds, 50, of Darlington died on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at his home.

A visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rowlett, 304 Barfield Road, Darlington.

Gregory was born in Tennessee. He was the son of Lesta Brewster Reynolds and the late Ronald Eugene Reynolds.

Gregory was an avid knife collector. He also enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles, hunting and riding four-wheelers. He was also a diehard fan of the Tennessee Volunteers football team.

Surviving are his mother, Lesta Brewster Reynolds; his wife, Michelle Rowlett Reynolds; his daughter, Logan Scott Reynolds; and his mother and father-in-law, Gayle and Ken Rowlett.

Jean Loflin Lee

TIMMONSVILLE – Jean Loflin Lee, 68, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 9, in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. The family received friends following the service.

Born March 10, 1951, Jean was the daughter of Betty Jean Hamer Loflin and the late William Henry Loflin.

She retired from GE Medical after over 30 years, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

In addition to her mother, Betty Jean Hamer Loflin, Jean is survived by her daughter, Magan “Betsy” (David) Thomas; granddaughter, Everly Thomas, all of Goose Creek; sister, Lynn Graves of Florence; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jon Michael “Mike” Lyons.

Earnest H. Scurry

DARLINGTON – Earnest “Diller” Heyward Scurry, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019.

Funeral services were Nov. 9 in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial at Grove Hill Cemetery. The family received friends Friday at the funeral home.

Born Nov. 15, 1943, Earnest was the son of the late James Scurry and Geneva Weaver Scurry.
He served in the National Guard.

He worked for Industrial Paving for 33 years and previously owned Raceway Grill in Darlington.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Bochette Scurry of Darlington; son, Brad (Heather) Scurry of Hartsville; grandchildren, Justin Lambert, Dustin Scurry (fiancé Brooke), and Kaitlin Scurry; two great-grandchildren, Macie and Sage Scurry; stepchildren, Patsy (Steve) Esponda of Wyoming and Mack (Belinda) McCarley of York.

Also surviving are two brothers, Lewis Scurry of Columbia and Allen Scurry of Rocky Mount, N.C.; sister, Marie Cox of Bishopville; and his fur babies, Rambo, Sassy and Sam.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Chasity Scurry; his first wife, Melba Scurry; second wife, Diane Scurry; siblings, Willie Mae, Ruby, Betty Jean, J.T., Harold, David, Roland, Jim and Wayne.
