Karen Holt

DARLINGON- Karen Mutter Holt, age 56, died Tuesday August 14, 2018 in McLeod Hospice House. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 16 in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home, 1225 Oak Commons Dr., Darlington.

Born in Richlands, VA on April 5, 1962, she is the daughter of Roy Mutter and the late Nancy Buskill Mutter. She graduated from Giles High School in Pearisburg, VA. Karen worked as a Help Desk Assistant for the Darlington County School District. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, and spending time at the beach, but her true passion was her children and grandchildren.

Surviving along with her father, Roy (Charlotte) Mutter, is her son, Chad (Monica) Holt of Florence, her daughter, Logan (Garth Bonnoitt) Holt, her two grandchildren, Haleigh and Reese Holt, and her sister, Mindy Mutter of Pearisburg, VA.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Holly Rene’ Mutter.

Barbara Huneycutt

Lamar – Barbara Wright Huneycutt, age 78, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 15 in Lamar First Baptist Church, with burial following in Lamar Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home.

Born March 11, 1940, Barbara is the daughter of the late James Wright and Annie Lee Harrell Wright. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Sidney Griffin Family Practice for 48 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lamar.

Surviving are her children, Lynn Huneycutt, Kyle (Mayme) Huneycutt, Karl (Angie) Huneycutt, and Brooks (Ashley) Huneycutt, all of Lamar; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Linda (Jim) Hardee of Lamar, Thedi (Brad) Hitchings of Florence, Becky Reynolds of Greenville, Mary Watford of Conway; and her sister-in-law, Peggy Wood of Tocca, GA. Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Emmett (Patsy) Lee Lowry.

Roxanne Copeland Richardson

Florence – Roxanne Copeland Richardson, age 70, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018. A visitation was held Thursday, August 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Belk Funeral Home in Darlington.

Born December 29, 1947, Roxanne is the daughter of the late Frank Davis Copeland Sr. and Sudie Carter Copeland. She worked as a real estate broker for 44 years. Roxanne enjoyed her work and spending time with her grandson.

Surviving are her husband, D. Aubrey Richardson Sr. of Florence; her son and daughter-in-law, David A. (Karen) Richardson Jr. of Florence; grandson, John Maddox Richardson; daughters, Paige (Chuckie) Williamson of Boiling Springs, and Donna Richardson of Florence; grandson, Josh Williamson of Boiling Springs; granddaughter, Kristin (Michael) Brasseur; great-grandson, William Kennedy; brothers, Frank “Bud” Davis (Becky) Copeland Jr., and Grier Carter Copeland; special niece, Candy Chapman, along with many beloved nieces and nephews; and her granddogs, Gus and Ollie.

William Evans

Darlington–William “Billy” Franklin Evans, Jr., 62, of Darlington died on August 8, 2018.

Graveside services were held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Kistler Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington.
Billy was born in Darlington, SC. He was the son of the late William Franklin Evans, Sr. and Joyce Watford Evans. Billy was a graduate of St. John’s High School and was a lifelong resident of Darlington.

Surviving are his daughter, Nicole Evans Neal; his three grandchildren; and his brother, Ray Evans and wife, Stacy of Darlington.
