Nunsense coming to The Center Theater
The hilarious musical theater hit “Nunsense” will be performed for two performances on August 12th & 13th at 7:30 p.m. at The Center Theater in Downtown Hartsville.
Tickets are available at Burry’s Book Store and Crema Coffee Bar in Hartsville, and on the Hartsville Community Players website: www.hartsvillecommunityplayers.org.
“Nunsense” is a “show within a show,” the story of a fund raiser put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidentally poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God).
The show has been updated with new jokes, additional lyrics, two new arrangements and a brand new song. It was made into a movie, “Sister Act” starring Whoopie Goldberg, and has been videotaped for television starring Rue McClanahan as Mother Superior.
Later in the season, the Hartsville Community Players will perform.
“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” a youth production on October 21st, 22nd and 23rd and the holiday classic “Nutcracker” will return again in December.
