Men’s Dance Club of Darlington Annual Winter Dance

The 59th Annual Winter Dance of the Men’s Dance Club of Darlington was held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Darlington Country Club. Members and their guests were greeted by club president, Mr. Joshua Wilson Ward and Mrs. Ward.

Four debutants were introduced at the Dance. They were Miss Heather Ravenel Godbold, Miss Danielle Reid Kriss, Miss Anna Ravenel Godbold, and Miss Sarah Caroline Isgett.

Miss Heather Godbold, a student at Clemson University, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Godbold of Darlington. She was presented by her father and escorted by Mr. Collin Scott Bonnoitt, also of Darlington. Miss Godbold is the granddaughter of Mr. David Boyd Parr, Sr. and the late Mrs. Parr of Newberry, South Carolina and Mrs. Eugene Luther Godbold and the late Mr. Godbold of Darlington.

Miss Kriss, a student at Converse College, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Arthur Campbell III of Darlington and Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Patrick Kriss, of Milford, New Hampshire. Presented by her grandfather, Mr. Jerry Wayne McLellan, she was escorted by Mr. Alex Wilson Poda of Aiken, South Carolina. Miss Kriss is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wayne McLellan of Darlington and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Charles Kriss of Sykesville, Maryland.

Miss Anna Godbold, a student at Clemson University, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Godbold of Darlington. She was presented by her father and escorted by Mr. Cameron Taylor Jones of Hartsville, South Carolina. Miss Godbold is the granddaughter of Mr. David Boyd Parr, Sr. and the late Mrs. Parr of Newberry, South Carolina and Mrs. Eugene Luther Godbold and the late Mr. Godbold of Darlington.

Miss Sarah Caroline Isgett

Miss Isgett, a student at the University of South Carolina, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Isgett II of Darlington. Presented by her father, she was escorted by Mr. John Douglas Lynn, Jr. of Dillon, South Carolina. Miss Isgett is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Eugene Carmichael of Cedartown, Georgia, Mrs. Michael Romeo Baitz of Florence, South Carolina, and Mr. Harold Glen Isgett of Charleston, South Carolina.

Attending the Dance for the first time were two sons, Mr. Richard Mark Bonnoitt, Jr. and Mr. Jeremy Craig Standish. Also attending the Dance for the first time were two grandsons, Mr. Collin Scott Bonnoitt, and Mr. Charles Grandison Howard III.

Mr. Mark Bonnoitt, a student at the University of South Carolina, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mark Bonnoitt. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bonnoitt of Darlington and the late Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Stokes, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina.

Mr. Standish, a student at the University of South Carolina, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas Standish. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Standish and Mrs. Victor Craig Stephens and late Mr. Stevens, all of Darlington.

Mr. Collin Bonnoitt, a student at the University of South Carolina, is the son of Mrs. Andrea Scott Bonnoitt and Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Bonnoitt, of Darlington. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Scott of Darlington.

Mr. Howard, a student at Presbyterian College, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grandison Howard, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grandison Howard, Sr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Butler, Jr. and the late Mr. Butler, all of Darlington.

Following the formal presentation of the Debutants and the Debutant Figure, members and their guests were served dinner and enjoyed an evening of dancing
