Man facing many charges in county case
A local man is charged with one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder in an Aug. 19 Darlington County incident.
Olajawun Dawayne Samuel, 24, was arrested Aug. 26. He faces a murder charge in the slaying of Jamaal Antwan Baker, 38, and three charges of attempted murder.
It’s not yet clear what happened in the incident on Susan Drive. Darlington County sheriff’s deputies were sent to a residence there about 6 p.m. Aug. 19. Coroner Todd Hardee said Baker died at a local hospital.
