Main Street Hartsville’s Annual Downtown Holiday Open House

web Hartsville Holiday Open House DSC_0105

Main Street Hartsville’s Downtown Holiday Open House brought record crowds on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m., offering children free photos with Santa and free milk and cookies at Hartsville City Hall, free horse-drawn carriage rides from Centennial Park, where children enjoyed a snow machine and hug from Elsa. Professional Christmas carolers toured the downtown, and Mrs. Claus read to children at Burry Bookstore, followed by hot chocolate and carols from the Hartsville High School Singers.

The throng of shoppers crowded to see the inside of new stores De Baz and Raised Down South so much it was difficult to enter. The gallery of photos is a small sampling of the stores that have plenty of Christmas gift ideas for all of the folks that are choosing to “shop local” this season!
