Trinity UMC will serve as host for this year’s community Maundy Thursday service. Worship will include special music by a combined choir and will be accompanied by percussion, timpani and organ. Rev. Lollis will lead the service and Rev. Cauley will give the sermon with communion following. Members of each congregation will read scripture and then a candle extinguished as part of the Tenebrae service. Not only will the service end in darkness, but everyone will experience the great earthquake to symbolize Jesus’ death.

The service will begin at 7 p.m. and everyone is requested to enter in silence. A nursery will be provided and the church is located at 126 Pearl Street, across from the old Post Office in downtown Darlington.
