On Saturday, May 14, 2016, the National Association for Letter Carriers, with the support of the United States Postal Service, the Rural Letter Carriers Association, The United Way, and the AFL-CIO will participate in the 24th Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive.

This event is the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Thanks to the generous support of postal customers and the Campbell Soup Company, over 71 million pounds of food was donated to aid millions of needy families and individuals in 2015, the 10th consecutive year that more than 70 million pounds of food has been delivered to local food banks, pantries and shelters. That brought the total for the first 23 years to over 1 billion pounds.

Customers are requested to leave their donations of non-perishable food on their mail box on Saturday, May 14th and the carrier will pick them up when delivering the mail. All conations will be distributed to local food banks and pantries.
