Lamar honors Martin Luther King Jr. with annual march
The Lamar Ministerial Union staged their annual march honoring the life of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 15. Chilly temperatures didn’t dissuade the marchers from raising their voices in song, led by Rev. Emmanuel Simon, as they marched from Bethany Baptist Church through downtown, and then back to the church for a service of inspirational messages and music.
